Best Vehicle Emission Testing

Image
Vehicle emission testing (VET) is the process of measuring the levels of pollutants emitted from a vehicle's exhaust. It is performed to ensure that vehicles comply with environmental regulations and to identify and resolve potential problems with vehicle operation. Vehicle Emission Testing is typically performed using a device called a dynamometer, which measures the vehicle's power and torque. The vehicle is driven on the dynamometer while its emissions are measured. The results of the test are compared to the emissions standards that apply to the vehicle's type and model year. A variety of pollutants are typically measured during VET, including: Carbon monoxide (CO) Hydrocarbons (HC) Nitrogen oxides (NOx) Particulate matter (PM) Smoke (diesel vehicles only) The frequency of VET varies depending on the vehicle's type and age, as well as the applicable environmental regulations. For example, in Bangladesh, all vehicles must be tested annually for emissions.
